The name "Concordia" was used by the Romans to designate the goddess of harmony in marriage. That's why it was chosen for this elegant blend of Fetească Neagră and Cabernet Sauvignon, symbolizing those years when the grape varieties simultaneously reach maturity, resulting in a complex wine.
Visual:
Ruby red with hints of cherry.
Taste:
The taste confirms the olfactory notes, especially cherries, sour cherries, sour blackberries, red currants, bell pepper, and eucalyptus, with a long and complex finish. The wine has a body and structure that make it worthy of complex aging in the bottle. The strong and green character of Cabernet meets the delicacy and suppleness of the Fetească Neagră variety.
Aroma:
In the nose, there are predominant notes of red fruits, along with spicy notes of cinnamon, star anise, and vanilla, as well as notes of green bell pepper and eucalyptus.
Food Pairings:
Juicy beef dishes, steak, French burger, spaghetti bolognese.
Winemaking:
The grapes were hand-picked, and fermentation took place in special stainless steel tanks for the fermentation and maceration of red wines, state-of-the-art tanks equipped with automatic liquid recirculation pumps, as well as in rotary tanks (ROTO type), where more intense maceration occurs. The "cold maceration" method was applied for 5-8 days, followed by fermentation at a temperature of 24-25°C for 8-10 days. Subsequently, the wine was matured in French oak barriques for 18 months.
